Crucifixes
The crucifix is a principal symbol of the Catholicism, depicting a three-dimensional Jesus on the Cross, which represents the crucifixion of Jesus. Crucifixes are a symbol of the epitome of love and self-sacrifice, that reconciles us to God. The word crucifix comes from the Latin “cruci fixus”, meaning "fixed to a cross".
A crucifixes is a powerful sacred reminder of God’s love and traditionally they are hung in prominent places in a Catholic home, on walls (as they are above most Catholic altars) or can be worn on a chain / rosary beads. Crucifixes make wonderful Catholic gifts and we have a beautiful varied selection in store, as a gift idea for most special occasions, including baptism, confirmation, first holy communion, wedding or even a house warming!
